How does Acupuncture work:
On a physiological level Acupuncture stimulates the release of powerful endorphins (morphine-like substances) and neurotransmitters in the body and the brain that will influence the various aspects of endocrine and neurological systems in the body.
How is Acupuncture applied:
Hair-thin, solid, flexible and of course sterile, disposable needles are inserted into special points in the body to promote the smooth flow of Qi (energy) and Blood. If the flow is unencumbered the body will work effortlessly and effectively. There is a saying in Chinese: When there is pain – there is stagnation. No stagnation – no pain.
